Hello.

My name is Laura Roe.

I edit moving pictures and still images in Portland, Oregon. I love moving pixels around on my computer to creatively and thoughtfully tell a story.

With 12 years of post-production experience, I've worked as an editor and data manager for television, web videos, and commercials, as well as countless independent projects and labors of love.

My favorite tools are Premiere and Photoshop, but I also work with Final Cut, After Effects, and Illustrator.

I'm a huge fan of screens large and small, and if you enjoy a passionate discussion about which Coen Brothers movie is best (Miller's Crossing), or what series you're currently bingeing, we will be fast friends.

Laura’s work is excellent. Her attention to detail and thoroughness, as well as her ability to think on her feet, make her our first choice.

Intelligent and dedicated, she approaches challenges with a creative mind and a willingness to look beyond the obvious. She is focused, dedicated and most importantly, she is honest.

~ Melissa Wylie, Producer, Portlandia, IFC

She had a great work ethic and was very detail oriented. She was very good at trouble-shooting and finding ways to fix problems in a department that was very new to us. Our logging and data retrieval has changed very little since its inception, thanks to the work Laura put into setting up this department.

~ Dean Hockman, Producer, Little People, Big World, TLC

Laura has the technical expertise and the creative problem solving skills to tackle any kind of project I throw at her. She goes above and beyond my expectations every time, always delivering high quality work in a timely fashion.

~ Zach Putnam, Owner, Zach Putnam Productions

She was easily one of the best Assistant Editors I've had the privilege to cut with and I recommend her for your project or projects. She's prompt, courteous, and great at what she does.

~ John-Michael Powell, Lead Editor, The Wilderness of James
